SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST

Joey’s adoption report was written when he was 8 months old. At that he loved to drink his formula and was eating supplementary food such as steamed egg custard, vegetable and meat purees. When the weather was good he was happy to be taken outside to be in the sun and fresh air while watching other children playing. He also enjoyed bath time and was attached to caretakers. He was described as an active and lovely child who likes nanny cuddles, playing with rattles and music. He could visually follow bright colors and people, could roll over and could grasp toys with his hands. Joey was able to respond to the expressions of adults, made some early sounds to communicate and was imitating words. He could stretch out his hands to show his happiness and laughed loudly when amused. He knew his name and would turn when called. He could raise his head while lying on his stomach, looked for dropped toys and could distinguish between strangers and acquaintances. Joey was described as and active boy with a ready smile who was fond of listening to music and playing with toys.
