***   GRANT AVAILABLE TO COVER ALL PLACING AGENCY FEES FOR QUALIFYING FAMILIES   ***

Penny was born in December 2014 and was found abandoned when she was around 2 months old. She has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome and her orphanage may consider waiving the orphanage fee for her family.

SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD

Penny is described as a “gentle and lovely” girl who likes to play with the children in her kindergarten. She can speak some simple sentences, and she is “making great progress in all respects,” though reportedly is delayed with language, intelligence and motor development. She doesn’t yet have bowel or bladder control and doesn’t feed or dress herself.

Penny has low muscular tension and strength in her arms and legs, but she has improved and now can stand with some help and walk in a baby-car. She loves to play with a phone and other colorful toys that makes sounds. She likes hugs and listening to music and is close to her caretaker.
