Elvis was born in September 2012 and found abandoned when he was about a year old. He has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
Elvis’s adoption report was completed when he was almost 2.5 years old. At that time he was attending an early education class 5 days per week and was receiving excellent care in his institute. He was said to be fond of smiling and had a strong ability to imitate. He could walk holding a handrail and was growing similarly to other children.
Elvis was able to pick up small objects with his fingers and move blocks in and out of a cup. He was imitating words and understood what “no” meant. He could respond to others asking him for objects and could point to his body parts when asked. He was fond of listening to music, playing with toys, quick in reaction and had a ready smile. Caretakers said he got along well with others and enjoyed playing with all kids of toys.
