Archer was born in July 2012 and found abandoned when he was about a month old. He has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
An advocacy team met Archer in November 2016 and said he is a sweet, busy boy who is curious and lets everyone know exactly what he wants. He likes to play with toys and really laughed at the team’s soft frog toy. He was able to transfer a toy hand to hand. Archer delighted in giving high fives. He could hold the pen or crayon but had no idea it was for writing. The caregiver reported that he loves all foods.
He does not speak at this time but does make noises and can communicate his wants and needs by pointing. His caregivers understand his signals. The caregiver reported when they tell him he cannot have a snack, he gets mad. Archer can become over stimulated but can be calmed and redirected. He can walk independently but does not bend his left leg well. His run looked like a fast walk. He could get up and down from/to the floor without help.
