SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST

At the time of her report Samantha was 16 months old and was fond of listening to music and playing with musical toys that she would reach for while on the shelf. Her file says that she tends to suck her thumb when she is asleep and describes her as fairly introverted, but she will cry and laugh to express herself.

NOVEMBER 2016 UPDATE BELOW:

Samantha currently has Chicken Pox and has been separated from the other children. She is delayed and cannot walk or stand on her own. She can roll over and lie on her belly. When you call her name she will turn her head to look. She can say simple words like ma ma, daddy and her name. When you say her name she repeats it and smiles a lot. She is very mellow and likes to play with nannies and other children. She also enjoys looking in the mirror. She doesn’t yet know numbers or colors.

DECEMBER 2016 UPDATE BELOW:

When someone calls her name she will look. She can call “mom” and “dad,” and her own name but she doesn’t speak in sentences. She likes to laugh and is very cute. Compared with other children her development is slow. Samantha is currently in a hospital infants and young children feeding area and early education activity room. She can hold small objects but cannot stand or walk alone. She is more gentle and introverted and likes to play with her teacher, and she can also play on her own. She likes dolls and eating egg soup.

In her video below she can be seen trying to write with a pen and pulling herself across the floor with her arms. I love her little mischievous smile after the nanny gives her the pen!!!
