SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST
Sawyer’s adoption report was completed when he was 15 months old and unfortunately doesn’t discuss any of his medical issues. It states that at 12 months old he received early education, was quiet when being held, could change his position by rolling over and would “roll around.” He could roll over to the mirror and smile at his reflection.
At 13 months he could sit for awhile by leaning on a “U” pillow, and would lie down when he was tired. When he heard sounds he would look around and if a caretaker tickled him he would laugh and roll around. He could grasp toys and if a caretaker blew on his face he would close his eyes. Sawyer could smile at people and would watch people who were talking. He waved his hands and feet when happy.
When he was 14 months old he could grasp an adults fingers to sit up when lying on his back. He had strong arms and enjoyed being massaged very much. When he cries a caretaker holds him to offer comfort and that calms him. Sawyer is a deep sleeper and can crawl on his hands and knees and imitate words. He was said to be a quiet boy who is fairly extroverted. He is fond of listening to music and playing with toys. His favorite activity was rolling and playing with a bell.
