Jacob was born in September 2013 and has been diagnosed with motor development delay (but not cerebral palsy.) He has improved with physical therapy, can sit up by himself, though he can’t walk or stand yet. He has weakness in his arms and legs, but can hold things that aren’t too heavy.

Jacob is a serious little guy until something catches his fancy, then he breaks into an impish grin. He has normal intelligence, is quiet, likes to listen to music, play with toys and cars that make sounds, and watch TV. He can communicate with people, express personal needs, understand and follow instructions, and knows body parts and articles commonly used in daily life. He asks “what is this” and speaks sentences of 3-5 words.  He has bowel and bladder control.
