Grace was born in August 2013 and found abandoned as a newborn. She has been diagnosed with post-operative spinal meningocele and post-operative hydrocephalus.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
In January of 2014 Grace received surgery for lumbar spinal meningocele and hydrocephalus. She had good recovery after the surgery. Her adoption report was completed shortly after she turned 4 years old. She was living with a foster family and her development was said to be good.
Grace was described as being extroverted and sweet tempered. She was fairly active and talkative, fond of singing and listening to music, quick in reaction and got along well with others. Grace liked to be cuddled by her foster grandfather but was closest with her foster grandmother. She could walk using handrails and could stand alone. She was able to imitate words and say simple things like, “what is this?” Her intelligence was said to be delayed compared to her peers. She knew “big” and “small,” and “inner” and “outer.” Grace liked to play with toy cars but her favorite activity was playing with other kids outside.
