Dillon was born in April 2013 and was found abandoned as an infant. He was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and Congenital Heart Disease (VSD).
SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST
Dillon’s adoption report was completed shortly before his third birthday. At that time he was able to walk 5-6 steps independently. He could crawl and stand. He liked greeting familiar teachers and imitating them.
When music was played he could wave his body with the rhythm. He was learning to eat with a spoon and drink from a cup and had good eating habits. He is said to be usually quiet and likes to interact with people and go to the activity room. He was learning to stack blocks and was said to be a deep sleeper.
A volunteer who met Dillon in April 2016 said, “My favorite memory of (him) from the April trip is how much he loved looking at himself in the mirror! He looked and giggled and kissed himself then looked at himself again. It was just too adorable! He was sooooo close to walking when we met him! He stacked cups for us and really loved looking at books. He babbles but isn’t saying words yet.”
