SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD

When Walt’s report was written in May 2017 he was being fostered in a healing home and described as a cheerful boy who liked playing with the nurses and toys, and enjoyed listening to music. When was 9 months old he could hold items and would wave his hand when he was happy. When he was 12 months old he could hold his bottle. By 14 months old he could roll over alone, sit independently and reach for objects. By 16 months he could manipulate objects with his fingers and drop them, and his movements were coordinated. At the time of his report Walt was learning to talk and smiled at familiar people. He liked hugging the nurses but was shy around strangers. He could crawl on his hands and knees and stood alone steadily. His favorite activity was watching TV and his favorite toys were plush.
