Emmett was born in April 2011 and has been diagnosed with hypospadias and congenital heart disease. He was abandoned when he was 4 months old.

Emmett was placed with a foster family in July 2011 and has a routine life. The family plays music, sings to him and often takes him outside to promote his mental and physical development. They say he is growing happily. Emmett is described as being active and clever and is able to walk, run and play sports. He understands what is being said to him and likes drawing, building blocks and doing puzzles. At the time of his report in December 2013 he was speaking simple words and cooperating in feeding, dressing and taking off his pants to potty. He is said to be very social and likes interacting with people.
Emmett had surgery for Tetrology of Fallot (CHD) in March 2013 and it was considered successful. They say he can walk by himself, go up and downstairs alone and is potty trained. He is an active and lovely child.
