Lyla was born in April 2010 and found abandoned when she was around 2 months old. She has been diagnosed with post-operative tethered cord. To request her adoption file for review please complete the questions at the bottom of this page.
SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST
At the age of 6 months Lyla could raise her head when lying on her stomach and could follow toys with her eyes. At the age of 1 year she could roll over, sit with support and pick up toys. She could make simple sounds, smiled when played with and was attached to her caretaker. At the age of 2 years she could sit alone, moved toys in and out of a cup and was able to hide from strangers. At the age of 3 years she could build with toy blocks using both hands and eat with a spoon. She was able to speak simple words, liked outdoor activities and playing with other children.
At the age of 4 years she could push a car to all forward while wearing braces but she had a staggering gait. She could dress and undress herself and recognize and point to objects. She was speaking in simple sentences and enjoyed singing songs with other children. She was very fond of her teachers and classmates. At the age of 5 years old she could control her balance well, draw lines with a pen, recognize colors and count. She was quiet around strangers but would “chit chat” with familiar people. At the time of her report she was 5.5 and was able to use a wheelchair well. She obeyed the rules of her classroom and cooperated with other children to complete assignments. She was able to ask and answer questions, and helped take care of younger children. She was described as being fairly extroverted and a gentle and shy child. Her favorite activity was playing outdoors and her favorite toys were blocks.
