Katie was born in October 2009 and found abandoned when she was around 3 years old. Although her file suggests “CHD” in one spot under medical history, there is no other information about heart disease and her written report states that she has never suffered from any severe or critical disease. Her initial diagnosis upon admission into the institute was “not seen talking; deaf-mute.”

SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST

Katie’s adoption report was written when she was 5.5 and she was described as being cheerful, relentless and not afraid of strangers. She had normal bowel habits and fast mental and motor development. She felt safe and happy and had established a close relationship with her caretaker. She was able to go up and down stairs, skip, catch a ball and tie her shoes. She could imitate drawing lines and was able to draw a detailed person. She could pick up peanuts with chopsticks, work buttons on clothing and dress herself. She was fond of imitating, listening to music, playing games and with toys.
