SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD ON THE SHARED LIST
Donnie was born in February 2007 with a cleft lip and palate and abandoned when he was about two weeks old.
Donnie’s lip and palate were both corrected in 2011. His medical file does include an additional diagnoses of velopharyngeal insufficiency but that’s because he had the flu at that time. He’s better now and no longer carries that diagnosis.
Donnie is in the first grade, can add and subtract and is considered a fast learner who is at the same educational level as the other children in his class. He is described as an outgoing boy who likes outdoor activities. Donnie’s speech development is reported to be normal.
