*** $2,500 GRANT AVAILABLE ***
Zoe was born in March 2016 and found abandoned as a newborn. She has been diagnosed with post-operative esophageal atresia, intelligence and motor delays. A hospital report mentions possible congenital heart disease (PDA & PFO) but there is no further information at this time.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
Zoe received her surgery for esophageal atresia almost immediately after entering government care. She was around 20 months old when her adoption report was written and at that time she was said to be living in foster care and experiencing good development.
She was described as active, happy, tolerant and caring. She was fond of listening to music, playing with toys, playing games with other children and being cuddled by her foster parents.
Zoe was said to have a ready smile and got along well with others. She could crawl, sit, walk while holding someone’s hand, pick up small objects with her fingers and bang blocks together. She was still wearing diapers and didn’t have many self care skills yet due to her young age, however orphanage staff felt she would learn new skills and be able to express her needs with words in the near future.
