Saul was born in May 2015 and found abandoned as a newborn. He has been diagnosed with leukoma of his right eye.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
Saul’s adoption report was completed when he was 2.5. At that time he was living with a foster family and was described as being a cheerful and active little boy who liked to imitate, play with toys, listen to music and sing. He was talkative, gregarious and had a quick reaction. When he was unhappy his foster parents would hug him to distract him and his mood would improve. He was fully potty trained and his motor development was on target with his peers. He could walk, go up and down stairs, pick up small objects with his fingers, hold a pen to draw lines and circles, build a tower with blocks and turn pages in a book.
Saul’s language skills were the same as his peers. He was speaking in sentences and could express his needs with words. He understood what was being said to him, could point out his body parts when asked, and could count. He was able to dress himself and wash his own hands. Saul’s favorite activity was playing outside and his favorite toy was a ball.
