Violet was born in January 2015 and was found abandoned when she was around 7 months old. Although she hasn’t been officially diagnosed as being blind, the orphanage has confirmed that she is. February 2017 update below.
SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD RELEASED TO THE SHARED LIST
Violet’s report was written in September 2016 when she was around 20 months old. At that time her physical and mental development were considered average and her sensory development was better than other children her age. She could walk alone, but due to her poor eyesight, she couldn’t go far by herself so activities were restricted. She could speak many words and was active with a ready smile. Her sensory abilities were very strong and she could distinguish her foster mother’s voice from strangers.
Violet was said to be a good little girl who is cooperative with dressing, understands what “no” means and responds to others asking for objects. At home she was fond of listening to music and playing with her foster siblings.
DECEMBER 2016 UPDATE BELOW:
She is timid but attached to her foster mama. She is now talking and doing very well!
FEBRUARY 2017 UNOFFICIAL UPDATE BELOW:
The local hospital no technology to test her eyes’ situation, and the orphanage didn’t take her to big cities. They just wish there is a family can adopt her, and she can be treated in US. I saw some blind children in different (places), most of them always sit in the orphanage room, don’t move and talk very late. But she (Violet) is different, she can speak, can move at foster family home (familiar environment).
