Otis was born in September 2014 and found abandoned when he was 2 months old. He has been diagnosed with post-operative adrenal tumor.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
After Otis had surgery to remove a tumor in November 2014 he received rehabilitation training such as massage, exercises, straight kneeling and crawling. His adoption report was completed when he was 20 months old and at that time he was able to crawl for 5 meters alone, kneel on a mat, and stand and walk with support.
He could take toys out of a cup, was imitating words and responded to others asking him for objects. He was described as a very bright little boy. When he was doing rehabilitation training he was active and showed happy facial expressions all the time.
He preferred playing with familiar people and didn’t like strangers, but once he was familiar to the new person he would like to be close. He was said to be shy and fond of playing with toys. He got along well with others and his favorite toys were little rabbits and a musical box. His favorite activity was being cuddled. There’s a March 2018 written update available that needs to be translated – he may still have language and motor delays.
