Harper was born in September 2014 and was found abandoned when she was about two weeks old. She has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. A CT report in her file suggests hydrocephalus but a November 2016 update states she doesn’t have it.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
Harper’s adoption file was completed when she was 11 months old. At that time they said she had a ready smile and was cute. She was unable to speak, sit or stand but could raise her head and smile at caregivers when they played with her. She could locate the direction of sounds and visually follow moving toys. She knew her name when it was called and could imitate sounds. She loves to be cuddled and talked to and caretakers hope she will be adopted and have a bright future.
SEPTEMBER 2016 UPDATE BELOW:
The orphanage states she hasn’t had complications from hydrocephalus and has not received any treatment. She has learned to roll over, but still needs support to sit up. She isn’t receiving any rehabilitation services.
Current measurements: height 78cm, weight 10kg, head circumference 47cm, chest circumference 48.9cm, feet length 10.5cm
NOVEMBER 2016 UPDATE BELOW:
She still cannot speak, sit or stand independently. Her nanny massages her to assist her development.
