Gloria is 6 years old and has been diagnosed with post-operative spinal meningocele.
AGENCY DESIGNATED SPECIAL FOCUS CHILD
Gloria’s adoption report was written when she was around 3.5 years old and living with a foster family. She was described as a happy and outgoing little girl who liked plush toys, watching TV and playing outside with other children.
When she was unhappy or upset her foster grandmother, whom she was closest to, was able to comfort her with a cuddle. Gloria was able to walk, run and jump well. She used the stairs without help, could skip, catch a ball, and could imitate drawing lines, shapes and stick people. She could pick up peanuts with chopsticks and was potty trained. Gloria was speaking in sentences to communicate and was able to wash her hands, dress and undress without help.
